Deposit: $20.00 ($10.00 refundable) Here's how it will work -- We will reserve 20 parking spaces at a rate of $5.00
per car. These will be attended, secure, parking places for our beloved Corvettes. The total availability will be only 20 spaces. Your $20.00 deposit guarantees your place on the reservations list. Once our caravan reaches Hampton Beach, we will pay $5.00 per car to the folks attending the lot, return $10.00 to you and provide $5.00 per car to the NSCM treasury. If you reserve your place and cannot make the event, we will try to get another member to take your place and use their deposit, returning yours. While on the beach, you can walk the boardwalk, enjoy the arcades, have some food at one of the sidewalk stands or enjoy dinner at one of the sit-down restaurants. At about 9:00 PM, we will gather at the sea wall and enjoy the fireworks display. This event is great fun and has been universally enjoyed by members who participated. It's first-come, first served, so please sign up early by getting me your deposit. It's a relatively local event, not requiring lots of gasoline, and allowing us to enjoy each other's company for the evening. Join us but reserve early. May 18 - Sunday Our Dust-Off Cruise - Destination is the Hotel Northampton, 36 King St., Northampton, MA (413-584-3100) for brunch (cost is $19.95 per person). Meeting Time: 8:15 AM. Leaving at 8:45 AM SHARP! Meet at Anderson Transportation Center, Woburn, MA (exit 37C off I-93) Directions: Take I-93 to exit 37C. At the end of the ramp go straight to the train station. Use the second entrance on the right for short-term parking.
The plan is to go on RT 93 north to RT 495 south and stop at the rest area after the route 3 interchange at about 9:15 AM to pick up anyone who wants to meet us there. We will continue on I-495 south to the Mass Pike to RT 91 north to Northampton. This will get us to our destination in time for a great brunch at the Hotel Northampton. Plan to arrive at about 11:30 PM to 12:00 PM and partake of an outstanding Sunday Brunch.
Following brunch we will follow a trip plan that takes us back to the rest area on RT 495 in Chelmsford via the back roads. This will be more scenic and more fun. We can take our time and really enjoy ourselves. Bring your walkie talkies on channel 7 and be sure to fasten your seat belts. May 29, Thursday to June 1, Sunday - Bar Harbor 2008 - The NSCM Caravan will be leaving on Thursday, May 29th. We will meet at the weigh station on I-95 North, between Routes 97 and 133. The plan is to leave at 8:00 AM (Sharp!) and move out to the second meeting point, the rest area on I-95 North, just inside New Hampshire. From there, we will proceed to Bar Harbor as a group. Also, please remember the following: -- Have a full tank of gas when you show up with the group. -- FRS 2-way Radio, with good batteries, set to channel 7. -- Fast Lane transponder for toll roads, if possible. -- this helps to get through the tolls without breaking up the caravan and it will save time.

The theme is going to be “The Roaring Twenties.” The twenties were also known as the years of wonderful nonsense, so how appropriate! Babe Ruth, Charles Lindbergh, Charlie Chaplin, Ernest Hemingway, bobbed hair, great clothing, the speak easy, arm bands and the Charleston should make this an interesting party. sponsored by Mid America Motorworks. In honor of Drive Your Corvette To Work Day, enthusiasts across America will make “America’s Sports Car” their commuter car for the day. Mid America Motorworks promotes Drive Your Corvette To Work Day among Corvette owners and clubs. The goal is to have as many Corvette owners as possible drive their car to work that day. Launched in 2001, Mid America Motorworks’ Drive Your Corvette To Work Day is an annual event celebrated by thousands of Corvette owners. This year’s event is especially noteworthy as 2008 is GM’s 100th anniversary. The Chevrolet Corvette is arguably GM’s greatest contribution to the automotive world.
